Hi guys,
So my co-worker created a qlikview file in the morning and now it can be found nowhere in the folder...we are trying to look for it from the Qlikview Recently Opened Documents list, but once we click on it, it shows an error message saying the location is not valid.
we both are very confused now as nobody has touched it since morning and now it's just gone.
Could you provide some possible insights on this? or any potential methods we can try to get it back? Thank you!
Regards,
Katelyn
so you are not able to see it under this folder?
C:\Users\<USER>Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps
You must have mistakenly deleted it. if you have deleted from the HUB there is no way you can retrieve back. Atleast i am not aware of.
if you have deleted the QVF file manually from the above location it might be there in recycle bin. try looking there.
Hi Katelyn - Phaneendra Kunche mentioned a path that is used in Sense, but you are speaking about QlikView.
The only other thing I can think of here - is that the .qvw file was on a network or mapped shared drive, and that share is no longer active so therefore QlikView cannot find the .qvw file.
The only other explanation, would be that the file was deleted.
I will also move this discussion to the QlikView forum

Qlik
you coukld simply search by
start->search-> type filename in all directories
hope this helps
Thank you for all suggestions..we have been searching through the entire drive and recycle bin and nothing was found. The folder we saved the file is a shared folder, but the share is still active so this might not be the reason why.. I think we have to rebuild it most likely
Anyways your help is appreciated!!
Thank you!
