Reduce Data and sheet acces on application (new users from new windows domain)

Hi all ,

I have an application on my server opened for a couple of users without any data or objects restriction  . Today we want to share this application with some new users from another domain  that the one for who the server belongs .

My questions are :

  • Can QlikView server access to the second active directory (from another domaine) and make sso on ? is there any steps i have to do before (windows security ) ?
  • If i want to limit data and some sheet access to these new users , what is the efficient way to do that ?

I have server 11 without publisher .

thank for your suggestions .

Regards

You can apply Section access to reduce the data.

You will need to add the details of the second domain to the server settings.

On the QMC select System / Setup / Directory Services Connector / Active Directory

and add an additional entry for the new domain.

To restrict the data that users can view, implement Section Access in your document

THX Albert for your responding .

Adding an extra AD is not a problem , my question was about connecting QV server to several Domain's AD in the same time .

is it possible ?

Yes, add multiple entries under the Directory Services Connector.

Then when you browse users, you will see the users in each domain.

This document is a good introduction to section access.
