Reload Time in Publisher is more than the local refresh

Hi All,

Can someone please suggest what could be the reason for the reload time to increase in publisher.. I have an application if i try to run it in my local machine it takes just 2mins but i try to refresh the same using Publisher it takes almost 4 times the time taken to refresh the same in local machine.

The server RAM is 32GB and local RAM is 4GB.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1.While reloading in server just check how much RAM is utilised by this process and how much remaining. if ur application services or processes occupies ur RAM space it ll take more time.

2.in publisher server where the application resides and once reload where does it copies? if this all are individula diff servers then take bit more time.

Thanks for reply..

We have two server cluster set up but the reload happen in only one server as the publisher cluster is not in place.

The application is reloaded and placed in the same server only.

Yes i did.. sorry forgot to mention it earlier. It occupies around some 10 to 15% of actual RAM and this is the only application which is reloading.

We have a Dev Server that stores it QVD's on directly attached SCSI discs.

For the clustered Prod Server / Publisher, the QVD's are held on a communal external file server.

And for us the Prod Publisher reloads is slower due to slower data access to the QVD's.  This is understandable and acceptable for us.
