Hi Everyone,
I'm using QV11.0 and use a -prj folder so that I can version-control my QVW. I'm trying to streamline my deployment process so that I follow this procedure when I want to deploy to server:
1. Reconstitute the QVW from its -prj folder by creating a new QVW document with the appropriate name and opening it in QV Developer.
2. Save that QVW to an appropriate location
3. Copy the QVW to the server
4. Start the reload task.
However, the reload task fails, complaining "Error: Document open call failed. The document might require username and password." I am at a loss to understand why it might want any sort of credentials: I've built the QVW based on my USER CAL; and I'd have expected that the reconstituted QVW would not yet have any user controls (we use Active Directory) applied, since it has never experienced a reload since being reconstituted from scratch.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Angus.
Hi,
Angus,
Make sure the the user which is allowed to run the services (The user name which was passed while installing the QlikView Server) has the full access to the application.

Hi Kaushik,
I don't know how I would do that. But then, I don't understand why this would be an issue for a QVW that's been re-built from scratch from its -prj folder: surely such a QVW can't yet have any Section Access controls active yet, since it hasn't been reloaded? And both the service account on the server that is attempting the reload and I have the appropriate licenses so that there shouldn't be a sharing problem.
So, do you have any guidance on what precisely what I would need to do to ensure that the service account has full access to the QVW?
Thanks & Kind Regards,
Angus.
