Hi all,
I'm having some strange issues with my management-console.
If a job starts in the management-console it sometimes takes a long time before it really starts loading (time in the joblog).
I've noticed that some jobs ran a long time so I inserted the time-out parameter.
For this job on 1 minut.
Normally the reload takes about 9 seconds.
Now it has needed 1 minut only to start the reload.
Who can tell me why Qlikview is waiting so long to start the reload.
I'm sure there are best practices depending on your average reload task and processing power/memory/bandwith to QVS, but I've had it at 20 for years and encountered no problems whatsoever.
Hi Kris,
Does the task log in QMC (so not the QVW reload log) offer something interesting? Is it waiting for max concurrent tasks or anything along those lines?
With kind regards,
Ronald
It seems that there are only 4 reloads that can run in 1 time.
Is this the maximum? Or can I edit this number?
Is this 1 task per socket or 1 task per Processor?
This can be controlled by a server setting:
Hi Kris,
It's whatever you set up under System -> Setup -> Distribution Services -> {your QDS} -> Advanced -> QlikView Engine.
That part of the layout I don't have.
And what is the maximum number I can put there?

Ok, I will put it on 20 and I will see.
Thanks!
