Reloading QVW file

Hi Guys,

I am just starting on working with a QVW on the server. I need to reload it. It is basicallya QVD generator QVW and not sure how to start and where to start.

I am able to see this QVW file on management console. When i click on Reload now, it fails and not sure what I am supposed to do before I actually schedule it. Also, please help me where I can find the 'Failed' Status description in more detail.

Thank in advance.

Regards,

Shyam.

A log file is there. You just go through that log file where you must get that same.

Hi,

first of all, you need to have Publisher correctly licensed in your Server. You can check that going to the QMC (assuming you are using version 11), System, Licenses, QlikView Publisher.

Second, once your Publisher is licensed, you will see a "Documents" tab with two options: "Source documents" and "User Documents". Click on any Source Document you will see a "+" (plus) button, where a wizard will let you create new tasks.

If you don't have Publisher and you want to create reload tasks, go to the Documents tab and click on any document. There is a Reload tab in the right part of the site where you can set when the reload will be triggered. Without Publisher, you can only reload documents, but not distribute them.

hi

open qvw application-->go to menu bar-->setting tab-->click on Document properties-->click on General Tab-->click check mark on "Generate Log File"

then close it.

After that reload, then a lof file is created in the same location of your qvw application.

then open log file and check the error.

hope this helps you
