Removing unwanted items on a Bar Graph

Hi All

I have a Bar Graph that displays the number of Calls per day per Agent.

The data is from an Access database and I loaded 2 queries into qlikview. Majority of the columns have the same name between the queries.

Even though I have done an inner join in the query for the Agent Name. On the graph, it still shows a "-" on the axes at the end of all the Agent Names. If I run the query in Access, it only shows the agent names with calls.

I think the issue could be with the 2 queries have the same column names, so the bar graph is pulling data from both queries even though I chose the field from the required query.

How do I remove the bar marked with a "-".

You can try enabling the option 'Suppress When Value is Null' on dimension tab.

I am not sure if I understand your setting, are you loading two tables having more than one field names in common?

This should create a synthetic key in your data model, do you see it in table viewer (CTRL-T)?

A synthetic key is not necessarily bad, but I would strongly suggest that you double check your data model.

Hello Ishaan,

I am facing a similar problem as your's, did you get to solve the above issue? Please let me know if you did. Also, I have enabled the 'Suppress When Value is Null' option and I have the similar graph as above wherein the x-axis value is '-'. The data is from excel sheet and has no same name column,  and there is no query being done on the data it is just sum of categories over a period of time.

Hi Ishaan,

Go to the Char Properties>>Dimensions>>under the Setting for Selection Dimension>>Uncheck the Lable.

I think that would work.

Thanks,
