When I create a nw multi-page report I do not get the dual window showing the application tab and the report page. I want to be able to drag and drop the object onto my page canvas, but I do not get this option. The only way I can add an object to the canvas is to add it by object name.
Per the QV manual you are suppose to get this dual window to drag and drop.
Does anyone know if there is a setup command that has to be set for me to see this view?
Thanks
Glen
Hi Glen,
As I can see from your picture, you have already minimized the report editor. the problem is that also after pushing the minimize icon, the editor fills the whole screen. The only thing you have to do is to hold the mouse on the title bar an to move the whole window of the report editor a little bit and after that you can make the report editor a lit bit smaller so that sou can see both the editor and the appliction sheet. I hope this can help you.

I'm not sure what the "dual window" is... You drag objects right from the application sheet into the report editor.
I am not getting the application sheet on the screen. All that is viewable is the report editor.

Glen,
I don't understand... You have the QV application open, correct? If yes, it is open on a sheet - just make sure it is open on the sheet that contains objects you want in the report. Now, open report editor, and drag the objects into the report. If you want to add objects from another sheet, you can switch to another sheet without closing report editor, and continue dragging.
Maybe you have the report editor maximized? In this case simply "restore" it so it doesn't take the whole screen.

Yes, it is not techically maximized, but it is "restored" to the whole screen. Just resize it manually by moving around and dragging the borders.
Mike & Herbert,
Thanks. I was able to resize the screen view.
