Report and Print Greyed Out

I was following a good tech article on creating reports: Using QlikView’s Report Editor

Unfortunately when I create a report it's showing up greyed out. Also print preview is greyed out as well.

Why is it grey?

Turns out that my settings.ini needed to be modified. Now both problems are sorted the file was located in: C:\Users\dom\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView\settings.ini

Hi,

you need to go to menu > Reports > Edit reports > then select the report you want and print it. Alternatively directly in the Reports menu, if you click on the name of the report it will print. Also make sure that you're not connecting to the document as client (open in server),

Print and Print preview: you must select a object, this will enable it.

Print sheet: you must allow export under the document properties> security

Yes I've done both those things and still greyed out. Could this be related to a corrupted .pgo GreyReport.pngfile?

Place  your cursor on the gray header on the GreyPrint QVW. Click your mouse. Go and see if Print and Print preview are available. See my above comment.

The PGO files consist of the license details (session , document , user CAl). I just tried with the QVW that you attached. I selected the object in the gray bar. The print and print preview were available after selecting the object.

Hi Daniel,

Can you specify what are changes you made in settings.

Hello!

I have a similar problem with a user that is running W10 and QlikView Plugin 12.10.20600. The Reports and the Print function is not available, they are greyed out. And when opening a model via the QV AccessPoint you can tell, for a brief moment, that the Print button is black, they it goes grey.

What did you change in Settings.ini? I've tried to re-install the Plugin and have also compared the Settings.ini to a computer where it works. I cannot find any relevant settings that differ.

Does anyone else have an idea how to solve this?
