I am trying to resize one column in my pivot table (namely the one with the names)
See link: http://imageshack.us/f/841/picsf.png/
the Problem is when i increase the width of the first column so that i can view the full title, the width of columns for the dates becomes bigger too. When I try to decrease the size of the date columns, I can no longer see my title columns. IS there anyway to customize this so that I can see the full titles int eh first columns and not have a huge blank spance in my date columns?
Thank you so much!
Sure, on the Expressions tab select each expression in turn and choose No Totals as Total Mode.
Use a straight chart instead and check the Horizontal option on the Presentation tab of the properties window. That way you can resize the column with the expression labels independently of the dimension columns. What you want cannot be done with a pivot table.
Hmm. So the problem with changing it to a straight chart is I am unable to have my dates on the top. So I'm assuming there is no way around this? It's either dates on top (via pivot table) and no control over column width or straight table (via straight chart) and sacrificing dates on top but having control over column width. Is this correct?
Haha I guess I didn't read all the way. Thanks so much! I guess my only other comment would be is to possile to not show those totals? In the presntation tab, I can change if I want the totals in the beginning or hte end of the tale. Is there anyway to not show the totals?

Perfect. Thanks a lot Gysbert!
