Restrict selection in Tablebox

Hi,

I have filters for selections, so, I dont need any selections anywhere else...  On Charts, I can avoid selection by read only option but Is there any way to avoid selection on Table box?

I can see data in table box,chart w.r.t filters selections but i want to restrict selections for user in TABLE BOX & Chart , In chart I can do it by read only option- but How can I do it in table Box?

But You can Use calculation condition in General properties ...so that you can

Hi,

Better use Straight table with 1 in expression and hide the expression column.

Or

You could possibly think of placing the Text box with transparent background over the table box. It protects selection on the table box.

Also to avoid user modifying  width of a column in any table like pivot/straight table, is it only way to mask it in transparency?

For that Go to sheet properties --> Security-->uncheck the Move/Size Sheet Objects

I mean avoiding  sizing of columns, not the object size..

We can restrict size of the object in a sheet by the way you said before, or by individual object properties, I want to restrict user to not yo change columns width..

for example in sample below.,

I want to restrict user to avoid width of columns 2012 Q1, 2012 Q2 etc.,
