I am trying to restrict export of data on particular charts as opposed to the entire document. Removing the Excel shortcut does not remove the ability to right-click and export or copy data. Is there a way to disable the right-click functionality either at the object, sheet or document level. Or is there another approach?
Assuming export restriction can only be done at the document level, is it possible using Qlikview 9 actions, to replicate the Excel export functionality without using macros, and ideally by opening Excel with the pasted data automatically as opposed to saving a file.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
AFAIK you can only prohibit export on document level (Document Properties => Security => Allow Export unchecked). And I'm afraid there is NO possibility to emulate export without using macros (no chance even WITH macros I suppose if export is prohibited)

I've checked new possibilities in QlikView 9, and there is the possibility for a button you could assign the action "Export" (this should also work with "Allow Export" DISABLED). In the setup for the export action you can define which fields you can export etc.. Note that this is only possible on data basis, not on object basis.
