Hi Sajeevan,

The code has run this time ok, thanks. However it is still not calculating 12 months of data.

I've created a new sheet and have done a line graph and selected the first 6 months (RollingPeriod) of 2012 (RollingYear). Looking at June it is only summing the first 6 months.

I have also set my dimension as RollingPeriod

In my expression's tab I'm just summing the uw_adj variable and selecting the accumulate - 12 steps back option.

Any idea why its not summing back 12 months?

Many thanks

Adrian

No accumulations to be done. I can help you further only if you can send me the sample QV file.

use the advanced editor and attach the file here

Is it the right file? I can't find the rolling period creation. Can you send the QV file with the rolling period creation or the excel file?

Hi Sajeevan,

I'm managed to get it to work. Many thanks for your help. Do you have any code to calculate the Year to date total?

Hi Sajeevan,

What do you need to change in order to sumarize only the last 3 months?

I am relatuly new to QV so appologize if it seems a strange question.

Kind regards

Frank

Hi Frank,

Do you mean 3 monthly rolling? I can fix your issue, if you can attach your sample QV file.

Hi Sajeevan,

Yes exactly.

I would like to calculate the inventory turns.

So I would like to have the average stock of the last 3 months (rolling) and divide it by the sum of the last 6 months turnover (rolling)

I just add you the file which you used in this topic.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Frank

Hi Frank,

I have just re-worked on the file to provide you different rolling methods.

Please find attached the same example with No Rolling, 3 Monthly Rolling, 6 Monthly Rolling and 12 Monthly Rolling.

Check the load script which has the code for creating these rolling types.

Select the rolling you want on the list box which will change the figures accordingly in the graphs. The first graph is with no rolling.

Hope this helps you in terms of understanding what needs to be done to achieve your requirements.

Warm Regards,

Sajeevan
