I was looking for some advice here. Using the SAP connector we can extract data from any table direct from SAP - which is great. Our SAP service provider advises that we shouldn't be extracting the data direct and we should be extracting via BW. As all our cubes are not built and in some cases the data is a lot more difficult to extract via a BW cube, I would prefer to extract the data from the tables direct.
Is extracting from the SAP database direct recommended or does it make a difference?
