Saving NodeID values to current selection in a Treeview hierarchy listbox

I want to have NodeID values in the current selections when I use a Treeview hierarchy listbox. The reson being that it is easier to use the getfieldselections on the NodeID than trying to use the World\Europe\France\Paris string.

Is it possible?
