All,
We have a problem affecting our userbase when they try to save a link to a QV document as a favourite.
So for example they access a link such as the one below;
http://dashboard.mycomp.net/QvPlugin/opendoc.htm?document=Dashboard.qvw
and then save as a favourite in IE. (IE v6, v7 and v8)
When the .URL (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Favourites\Example.URL) file is created an additional BASEURL line is added to the file and it has a IIS_Authenticate parameter.
[DEFAULT]
BASEURL=http://dashboard.mycomp.net/QvPlugin/opendoc.htm?document=Dashboard.qvw
[DOC#7#8]
BASEURL=qvp://dashboard.mycomp.net/Dashboard.qvw?iis_authenticate=B87F86C0F89115CC212264F160B39EDFBF0D4C53
ORIGURL=about:blank
[InternetShortcut]
URL=http://dashboard.mycomp.net/QvPlugin/opendoc.htm?document=Dashboard.qvw
IDList=
[{000214A0-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}]
Prop3=19,2
The favourite then fails because the IIS token has expired.
I did find one other example of this problem via a Google search but like us they resolved by manually editing the .URL and removing the second BASEURL entry.
Is there a more generic solution?

Server QV v9 SR3. QV access is via IE Plug-in. Several different version of the client are in use.
