Scheduled upload failing

Hi,

After creating all my qvw's I'm trying to publish them on the QlikView Server with a scheduled reload overnight.  I've set everything up and it appears to be failing for some reason.  here is an extract from the log which unfortunately means little to my non-tech mind -

When I do the upload manually it works without any issues and the logfile comes out clean.  with the sceduled reload - nothing is uploading at all.

Can anyone help shed light on the problem or point me in the right direction please?

Many thanks in advance

Does the app have Set Analysis?  Are you using a service account to runQVS?

Dear,

some days back i also had the same issue.

i found the solution.

goto-->QMC----->SystemTab--->SetUp--->  expand the qlikview servers ---> QVS@server 1-----> Documents-->

enable the check box for

                                        Allow Document Upload.

I hope this will help you.

Thanks,

Mukram.

Hi Nate,

No set analysis; I've created the simplest document with no objects just simply a load of data.

Thx

Hi qva_mukram,

I took a look at this and it is already ticked.

Fingers crossed QlikTech might be able to help.

Thx

Hi,

Could you solve this problem? I'm having the same issue.

I created a simple QVW as well, only loading one table. When I reload it from QV Desktop it runs well, but it always fail in the server with the same error...

Any ideas?

Well this is part of a semi-solution I got

"... QlikTech support and they have seen this happen when a change is made directly or indirectly affecting the QV Service Account.  To check if this is the case (...) create a local user on the QlikView Server and put this local user into Local Administrators and QlikView Administrators groups.  Set this user as the logon account for the QlikView Services and restart the services.  Then try a reload via QMC of a document.

"If this works and none of your documents use source information on mapped drives then you could leave it as the replacement QV Service Account.  Or you could try an alternative domain account (that should be added to Local Admins and QlikView Administrators groups)."

Now, I'm not too techie myself and my IT guy did this for me and seemed to help for one day but I'm now back to square one and getting QlikTech to help now once my IT guy is back of holiday - I wait with eagerness as we are meant to be in Test Phase now!

Hope it helps you.

Thanks cchhatralia,

I had the same error. It was because the Qlikview Service account was disabled in my corp active directory. As soon as it is activated back, the ETL's worked perfect.
