Searching multiple phrases in list box

Is it possible to create a list box search like (cake|soda) but that also contains blanks?

This doesn't work: (cake|ice cream|soda) but I want to find exactly those three in the taglist.

Enclosing phrases/words with single or double quotes does not give the wanted result either (single quotes gives no result at all and double quotes also select things like lemon cake).

Using match(fieldname, 'cake', 'ice cream') as search phrase also selects things like lemon cake, possibly because there are products tagged with both cake and lemon cake.

The list box is set to "Normal search" as default search mode.

This will work: (cake|"ice cream"|soda and also this match(fieldname, 'cake', 'ice cream')  without returning 'lemon cake'. More informations about searching could you find here: The Search String.

Tha'ts what I thought should work, and I tried it, but unfortunately it does not in my case... Maybe I need to try this in an otherwise clean qvw with only some test data from an inline table. Unfortunately I can't post the qvw I'm working on - it's not really about edible sweets in it...

in your list box, click to open the search box, hit ctrl+shift+f,

=<field name> like '*ice cream*'

or <field name> like '*soda*'

or <field name> like '*Hi-C Ecto Cooler'
