Section Acces

Hi,

I have a  hierarchy of Groups and divisions. one group has many divisions. i want to restrict user at group level and don't want to let user see the divisions.

suppose if i have 3 groups the user should be able to see only group aggregated data. he should not be able to see drill down data of divisions. please help.

The file is locked. can you share the password.

avinashelite

It does not require password. Use the USERID as

well. i  know the steps you have shared. if there is next level ....suppose under supervisor id there are several employees and i don't want to see the employees. just want to restrict user at supervisor level. because when i leave employees column blank in script, it automatically provide user to look into employee data.

You can implement the section access without hierarchy then only the logged in user related data will get displayed related data will get displayed.

OR

read only the supervisor ID from the DB and provide them the access

AncestorID is nothing but the supervisor id of that employee, I am using this AncestorID to give access for the supervisor to view the details of his subordinates.

eg:

USERID,Name,Supervisor_id

1,A,0

2,B,1

3,C,2

4,D,2

5,E,1

];

1 is the supervisor of B(2),E(5) and 2(B) is the supervisor of C and D

so B has access to see C and D 's data.

Since A is the supervisor of B he has access to see B and his Subordinates data also
