Section Access not working on Server

Hi

I have section access built into a dashboard which works fine on the desktop version but once deployed to the server it no longer works and nobody can open the dashboard.

The section access looks like -

and the documents properties -

Have I missed something?

Hi @kev6brown,

The NTNAME is correct ? Check with a simple app in the accesspoint and a text object with =OSUSER()
On your desktop it works, only after reload or always? This because Section Access is applied when opening the document not right after a reload.

Hi

Yes the NTNAME is correct. It always works on my desktop version but when copied to the server nobody, including myself can open it

Is any other application with a section access be working? If yes, how do they differ to each other?

How is the access performed - per (which one) browser or per desktop client with OpenOnServer?

Further relevant could be the applied authentication methods within the server - especially if it's not set to NT and/or if there is not a single directory used.

Beside this comment the section statements to make the table visible within the data-model and the UI and then pull these fields into a table-box to see the results - by selecting different users and/or values from the reduction-fields. All data and associations are really like expected? Also follow the suggestion the show osuser() within a text-box - you may see a surprising result.

Hi @kev6brown,

Are you reloading the application on QlikView Server? If so, I think you must include the QlikView Service Account in your Section Access as ADMIN without any restriction - the same user that runs the QlikView Services on your Server.

Hello,

I would confirm the following:

1. The QlikView service account is a full admin in the Section Access Table .

2. Remove (uncheck)  the strict exclusion

3. Reload the data.

Note:

1. The service account needs access to the all the data in order to reduce the data for all the users.

2. Make to always take a backup of the dashboard so that you done lock yourself out.
