Send to Excel Export....!

Hello,

I want to restrict user to excel export for specific object on QVW to get export on Access point of Qlikview.

Don't want to disable functionality through out the QVW only on specific object, Suppose on one sheet I have 5 object 2 of them have access to excel export and other 3 don't.

I have tried,

disabling at QMC based on user name:

Hello,

May be it's not the right place to ask this question but i really need your help please.

I have a problem with sending a table to excel, the file in question is 23MB that I suppose is a normal size, but it takes more than 7 minutes to be downloaded, plus I've another extract on another tab of my application that is 19MB and that loads in less than 3 minutes!

I can not understand the root cause and it's starting to be annoying

can someone help me please?

& Thanks in advance.

I'm not getting what exactly you want is it like-

If you have 5 object on one sheet you want to give export to excel property to only 2 object not to rest 3.

Hi Somaya.

One option may be to add a calculation condition to the chart.
This will not prevent users from exporting it, but you can set the calculation condition so that the chart is not displayed until the users have filtered the data until fewer than N rows are selected.
This will stop the users from exporting massive data sets as if the cahrt is not displayed, it cannot be exported.

My first question is why are the users exporting the data - I take this as a sign that the Qlik app is not displaying the data the users wish to see. Perhaps you need to reveiw the users' requirements and what they are doing in Excel, and then update your Qlik app to provide this directly in Qlik.

Hi neha,

& thnx for ur answer.

actualy i've many tabs in my QV application (each tab show different results).

- So in the first tab (détails): when i do send to excel, the file is loaded in 3 minutes and its size is about 19Mo.

- But on the second tab (Syntése analyse): when i do send to excel, the file is loaded in more than 7 minutes and its size is about 23Mo.

And this is annoying to wait 7 and 8 minutes just to have the file!

so here i've files with the same size and they takes differents times to be loaded, and this is the problem for the end users.Capture.PNG
