Sending mails from Qlik

HI,

I am trying to use mail feature of Qlik.

Since Qlik does not support TLS so i have set up a SMTP server on IIS on my local machine.

The SMTP set up works fine.

But i am still not able to make Qlik use my local SMTP server.

I am using port 25 and giving the default address of my local smtp server in the Address.

Not sure if i should use AUTH PLAIN or not. I have set up anonymous user in SMTP.

i am using qlikview desktop

Please advise.

The error says "Connect took a long time...."

You should try to look at your SMTP server's log to see if it does communicate at all. If it does it might be error messages there that reveals what the problem is...
