Separating a tab from dashboard

I am currently working on a task to separate a tab from the main dashboard to its' own dashboard. This involves both clearing all references and data from the current dashboard and creating an exact replica in a separate dashboard. I am just a beginner and very new to QlickView so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ibrahim,

If the associative model is common to both applications try to create a previous one with it (the model) and later, read this application in ther other apps using a BINARY sentence. This way allows you to inherit a common model. You only have to cut off the tables you donot need en each later apps.

Hi Ibrahim,

1. show all objects ctrl+shift+s ( will show all objects including hidden)

2. select all objects ctrl+a ( to select all objects in the sheet)

3. copy all objects ctrl+c  (to copy all the objects in the sheet)

4. past all objects ctrl+v (paste it to your target dashboard sheet)

As long as all the fields in the source and target are same, there should not be an issue.

Just for moving the variables, you can create an input box and add all variables and copythe input box, paste into the other document. Only the values you have to enter manually for the variables.

Hi Ibrahim,

step 1:- Take a copy of your Dash board

step 2:- Rename the new copy as your wishing name

step 3:- Remove sheets which you don't want to show in this Dashboard.(Settings-->Document properties-->Sheets-->Delete sheet which you don't want to show here) Check the attachment

step 4:- Check the output and confirm your self.

If you satisfied the output ,Then note the Dimensions & Expressions used in this new Tab and keep them in script and Remaining script you can comment.
