Separating characters in a text

This is my problem:

The accounts that are separated gives '.. ' Means > = and < = while those preceded by | ' are = to the account indicated.

what function should I use?

Hi Antonello,

Use PURGECHAR() function it may help you.

You want to replace '..' with >= or <= and '|' with '='? The second one is easy as it is a one to one change... but for the first one, how do we know where to use >= and where to use <=
