Server & Publisher - No SAN

Hi guys,

Wonder if you can help. We are in the process of deploying a QlikView environment.

We have 2 servers, 1 for QVS and 1 for Publisher/Distribution. What we do not have is shared storage between the servers.

What is the best way to set up the folder structure? I've tried to map a drive and use that but that has not worked.

Thanks for your help.

Have your source documents on your Publisher server and your user documents on your QVS server. Map accordingly for them via the QMC.

Thanks Onno.

Would we then need to write the QVW files to include the server name when pointing at the QVDs?

I would assume that you store your QVD files on the same server as your Publisher as you just told me you are not using a SAN or other storage.

In that case, there is no need to add the server name to the path.

Else you will have to.

May you live in interesting times!
