Set Analysis Question - Filter Me & My competitors from 1 field?
I have a field of "salesperson" and I want that to be a filter to hone in on who the report audience is for. I also want them to be able to pick peers to compare to, but technically it's out of the same field. I've accomplished this but adding an additional field called peer_salesperson, which is actually the exact same data, just duplicated in another field.
This way I can use list boxes to filter on:
[salesperson] Who the Report is for
[peer_salesperson] Who I'm comparing against
Am I doing this correctly? Or is there a set analysis way to do this all from one field?
I'd like to do this for a date range as well to determine an analysis period, and a baseline period.
If you want to see this in two different columns using a straight table, then I think you are doing it the right way. Another way would be to use a Pivot Table with Sales Person as dimension and you restrict the sales person using the set analysis which can be tied back to two different input fields.
So depending on which chart you have, you have different options available to you.
