Set a reload timeout and send an alert

Hi all,

is there a way to set a reload timeout in Management Console for the single document?

Sometimes a reload lasts too long and I want to terminate it.

Furthermore I would like to be notified via email.

Is there a way to send an email notification for this scenario?

Thanks a lot

HI Roberto,

Yes you can specify the reload timeout at document level:

Then check the section on ALERTS in the Qlikview Reference Manual.

Andrew,

I guess whenever a job is killed because it takes too much time to finish, it will fail in the usual way and will send a failure message if configured that way in QMC. Or did I miss something?

Hi Andrew and Peter thanks for your replies.

About the timeout fetaure, I haven't noticed it .

From the help online:

"if the document is not reloaded within this timeout, the process will be terminated and the old data is kept in the document."

so, I think the email, sent when a schedule process is manually terminated, will be sent in this scenario too.

Best regards
