Set analysis formula - today vs yesterday

Hi All,

I need to get a sum(Amount) for a specific day and it's previous day .... some of you may remember this from a few days ago....

I'm now trying it by getting the user to enter the relevant dates in an inputbox into some variables I've set up called COBDate and COBDate_1.

Then, I was hoping to use the following formula to calculate the sum(Amount) for COBDate (and something similar for CODate_1):

sum( {$<ReportDate = {$(#COBDate)}>} Amount)

but this doesn't return any results. Any ideas? This stuff is completely new to me....
