Setting a variable value on launch of a hyperlink

hi all,

i am  launching a URL from the straight table box now when i click the hyperlink i want the variable value to be changed  i have to do some actions

on the click of the hyperlink for this .so  how can i track the click in my hyperlink

in your file take company as dimension and the website column as expression and change the representaion as Link

now click the link u will see the column Website will not be selected so u cant call a trigger on select field now i

want to set a value in a variable on this  click

HI,

   I know its not possible to have any trigger on expression selection.

   So i would suggest you to use dimension as link to open your url.

   As in my example you can include the Company as dimension and it will act as you want.

kaushik you are right but in javascript we can do some actions on click event so i thought some one could give

input on that .If u know about that u can share some java code with me
