Setting up a new Data Source

Hi,

Where are these connections made below? I want to connect a new data source and make it available in the list below. Specify IP and stuff.

Help much appreciated!

Hi Niklas,

These look like ODBC data sources. They are stored in one of the two Windows programs that are responsible for 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC connections. Thankfully, QlikView provides an easy access to them from the Script Editor's menu Tools.

I see so they are stored at an earlier stage and then jsut accessed via qlikview. Where is this ODBC storage being done in qindows server?

That I'm not sure of... wrong forum 🙂

In the older days, ODBC connections used to be separate files, but not anymore. A quick Goole search returns this:

You can find the ODBC data sources on the control panel.

Start -> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> ODBC data sources
