Setup a QV Server on Win7

Hello,

I'm going to install a QV Server on Win 7. On the requirements pdf, QV mention this approach for development and testing purposes only. Why is this only for those purposes?

First, I'd recommend that you post this question in the Server forum - that's where it belongs.

In a nutshell, QlikView Server for production use should be running on a Windows Server OS (which Win7 is not...) - for whatever added value that Servers have on top of laptops and desktops.

I'd think that Win Servers provide additional resource management, security, backup and other advanced services that a "personal" versions of Windows don't have.

I'm sure Windows experts can extend on it in more details...
