Show data on axe

Hi,

I have a stacked chart with values inside segments. I'd like to show sample size (total) on axe (or other place). Could you suggest anything?

Please find attched file.

Thanks,

You could add text in chart.

And then select the graph and press ctr and shift, so you can move the elements in the graph.

See the attached file.

What do I do, when columns 2, 3 or 4?

This was trickier than it should have been.

Attached is a solution that should work across all columns and regardless of what Dimension values are selected.

Note the addition of a new v_Dim variable and the new Expression set to 'Text on Axis' and not 'Bar'.

Hope it solves it,

Hi Matthew,

It works, but not when you need to select the last month.

Please find my attached file. Maybe I did something wrong.

Thanks,

I use this for % in expression

Count({$<Year={'$(=MonthName(max(Year)))'}>}Dimension)/

Count({$<Year={'$(=MonthName(max(Year)))'}>}TOTAL <Year>Dimension)

Hmmm, I've tested the solution from Matthew but it doesn't work if the dataset isn't complete for each year. For instance, if you create Dec 2012 and only record C and D in the inline load, you won't see the sample size text on axis as shown here:

It seems like a good start, though.

Sample size below bars is very, very common in market research decks. Surely someone out there has thought of a way to do this?
