Hi All,
I have created a table with 5 expression and 2 dimention. In these expression am am showing the top 20 amount value by set the dimention limit tab and select top 20 with global grouping mode.if i use my 1st expression as amount then its shows top 20 amount but when i shifted this expression amount info 3rd expression means not 1st expression then its showing top 20 amount with some 0 vale???
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with using the expression as 3rd expression not 1st one.
like
id name amount cif sum
1 aa 100 200 150 (ok when amount is 1st exp.)
id name cif sum amount
1 aa 200 150 100
---
0 ( showing 0)
Thanks
Dimension Limits only work on the first Expression, that's just the way it works...
I can recommend my recent blog about showing top values:

Hi Narendar,
Is it possible that your sorting expression got changed after changing the expression sequence?
In that case if your top 20 is based on amount, then you may have to explicitly set that in sort tab.

Hi Narendar,
The Top N is arrived based on the Sort tab settings. Check Sort tab.

Jagan.
Thanks for the reply Abey and Jagan.
Yes you are right.
Initially i have set this based on sort tab by taking amount as sort 1st in decrement order.
with this setting its showing some 0 amount which is not possible.
But when i am taking this amount as 1st expression as well as in sort tab taking ammount in topthen it doesnt not 0.
Why??
Thanks
Narendar,
You are defining the priority for sorting in the sort tab by moving it up or down.
So when you were getting 0s for amount, it was getting sorted using some other value than Amount.
And when you set Amount as the top priority, it was actually sorting using Amount value in descending.

Abey
I have set the amount as top one in sort tab by decending order but still showing 0. But 0 is not possible.
Thanks.
