Slider/Calendar date formatting

Hi

I have a Slider/Calender object that i want to use to select a date. My current slider shows as follows...

6/6/87........26/8/90.... 12/5/95..... 1/1/98 ..... etc

But i want to have a slider that selects a range of dates. For example..

June..... July...... Aug.... Sept...... etc

or

1990......1991.....1992.... 1993.. etc

Is there any option where i can display the date as an expression and do something like month(date_field) or year(date_field)

On the Number tab of the Slider object, set your format to Date and then in the Format Pattern use MMM or YYYY.

I am facing some problem with calender object and few other problem in linking the master calender with the loaded date. I hope you can help me out here.
