Slow Performance of application

Hi All,

We are facing issues with the Performance of one application which is hosted in ourQlikview server. Rest all applications are working fine without any issues.

And this appears only sometimes, not always. The application will be very slow to load and even lose connections to the server often when this issue appears.

There was no changes to the application done so far.The only change was the new data added to the system, which is very less in size.

What could be the issue?

Please suggests..!!!

There are several reasons possible. One could be that your qlikview server hadn't enough resources (CPU + RAM) at the time it happened - you will need to have a look within the taskmanager and in the qlikview- and windows-logs if there is anything noticeable. Another reason might be that the connection/network and/or the queried database is instable or too slow and you are running then in any timeouts.

Hi Marcus,

We have continuously monitoring the server performance, we can see that the RAM usage is not going beyond 20% and also the CPU.

Then do the same with your database-server and if it's then further unsolved you would need to check the network (whereby this might be more difficult).

You say the performance issue occurs intermittently, does this coincide with other tasks that are running on the QlikView server, database server or network?

Are all of your apps reloading at the same time on the server, or does the reload schedule set them to load one after the other?

How many apps are reloading concurrently?

How many cpu cores are allocated to QlikView in the QMC?

How many concurrent reload tasks do you allow?

The data might be smaller but has the complexity increased?

At the times it is going slow, is this when the document has timed out so its no longer in memory? Maybe alter the document timeout in QMC and see if that helps
