I tried this. I have 25 columns in the straight table of which 15 are dimensions and 10 are expression (e1, e2,..e10). AmtDue is e8-e7.

The Fabs() works good in another pivot.

Do I need to copy the fabs() to all the dimensions?

No,

you must set priority of columns of sort tab as First on one dimension with Fabs in expression.

I hope this helps

You can use an expression like fabs(sum(rangesum(ProposedAmt,-AmtCollected))) for Sort by Expression (on the Sort tab).

The same expression works as well to have the slider work correctly. See attached example.
