Sorting problem in pivot table

Hello,

i want to do sorting in pivot table according to third dimension only

dim1, dim2, dim3

i want to do sorting with dim3 only not with dim1,dim2.

I have checked sorting to dim3 in sort tab and unchecked in dim1 and dim2.

but its not sorting down??

and according to requirement i cannot change order of dimensions

hi..

promote ur dimension in dimensions tab. means, add ur dim3 first when you are adding dimensions in the dimension tab.

may be it works..

that i know. It is possible. But, my client wants to display sorting in third dimension only. and i don't think it seems to be possible according to Michael.

I didn't say that there is no solution.
It is sorted by the 1st dimension, but in "Sort By" (for this dim1) you can use Expression = dim3

It depends on the relations beteen the dimensions, for example it will not work if there are multiple values of dim3 per dim1. It could be one of these requests that doesn't have logical solution, hence there can't be technical solution.
