Steps to host a qvw file on web

Hi:

I have created a QV document and now I need to host it on the web. In the given server QlikView 11 is installed:

1. Server

2. Access Point

3. Publisher.

Can you please suggest me on the steps to host the document on web?

Looking forward.

Shafi

as i said below, publishing .qvw on web as same whether if ur using qvws or iis7.

---------

try tis way,

From QEMC:  System--Setup-- Select ur server i.e QVS@URSERVER NAME----General tab--look at Mounted folders path, may be u have mounted folder as Presentation folder,in this same path u have to place ur .qvw file.

now, that file is available on ur Access point web,so u can provide license to users from documents tab by selecting that .qvw.

Could you please clarify what you mean by hosting on the web?

Do you intend to show the QlikView content in custom webpage?

Do you intend to make the QlikView Access Point available on the internet?

Are you just having problems publishing the document int he QlikView Access Point?

Hi Toni:

Many thanks.

My intention is to host the file in web and restrict users. And yes, we are having problems with publishing the document in the QV Access Point.

I am not really how to respond to that. Can you please elaborate on what you are doing, what is happening and what you are expecting?

Many thanks Toni.

I have put the project.qvw file in "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\" location.

Then I expected to see it on Access Point. But I didn't find it and got the attached error.QlikView Access Point Error.png

Then, from in the server I tried to use URL: qvp://localhost/ (in internet explorer) to browse. Yet, I couldn't access localhost.

Can you please suggest?

Hi Toni, Hi Shiva:

After discussing with the client I came to understand that our intention is to show the QlikView content in custom webpage.

Besides, in the server there is no QVWS installed. We have to do it through IIS7.

Can you please advise?
