Straight Table mini charts

Hi Everyone,

I want to create a straight table with an index score and then another column with a mini chart with the following format (sans numbers numbers on the right).

Has anyone created something like this before?

Cheers,

Gareth

Here's an example of how to do this.  I copied it from the forum a while back, but didn't think to write down who came up with it.

Not sure you can do this. How about adding third column just for those number?

Excellent!!! Then, just add another column next to the last column of bars and you should be good.

Ofcourse, showing number on top of the bar (see the last bar in pic) would not work. If this is very important, somehow an overlay of a table on top of straight table, with transparency,  may do the trick.

Thanks very much John!  This is a clever workaround.

Hi guys,

Just see your post on this nice Butterfly Gauge.

It works just fine but I ve got an issue and I'm struggling to find the solution

Guess you can understand my problem by looking at the image.

I can't find a way to make the bars stick to each other without blank between them.

Try to change the table style and other properties unsuccessfully.

Hope you can help me on this (stupid) one.

Thanks

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

I am also facing a simular issue on webview / ajax. Were you able to figure out a solution to this background color leakage problem ?

Thanks,

Puneet.

Hi All,

Any updates on the Color leakage issue? I am also facing same issue in WebView.

The same example 'testButterflyGauge.qvw' when opened in WebView depicts the problem as below.

Hi Diwakar,

At that point when I was facing this issue, I contacted Rob Wunderlich and he was able to mask the color bleed using custom format cell. Here was his response:

"Nice to hear from you. It looks like a bug to me, worth reporting to Support. The best workaround I could come up with is attached. I managed to mask the horizontal bleed by using Custom Format Cell, and adding thick cell borders of color white. However, I couldn't find a way to eliminate the vertical bleed line that appears on the left of the cell. If your ta !ble was of a fixed size, you could add a vertical line object of color white hide the bleed line, but that's an ugly workaround that won't work if your table changes height. "

See the file attached. However, to proceed forward, I just created my own Qlikview extension object which allowed me to get rid of this issue once and for all. See the snapshot attached.
