Switching between two different measures of activity
I have developed a Qlikview app with hundreds of charts most of which are based on calculations using a measure of activity called a 'WSUM'. Recently my organisation changed this measure of activity to a 'Credit'. I have data for the past 5 years in 'WSUMs' but from 2013/14 this data is presented as 'Credits'. I don't want to have two separate applications (one for WSUMS and one for Credits) because it is good to see the trend data even if the unit of measurement is slightly different. I don't know where to start developing the app to handle the new unit of measurement. I imagine that I will need to edit the expressions in every one of the many charts in the app. I've seen other apps that deal with different currencies and I wonder if that is the best way to do this.
My Suggestion would be to create a flag in your data set something like if date =2014 or 2015, then credits else WSUM and then add this flag in all yourv expressions in the chart.
