Synthetic dimension functions

Can anybody explain me about Synthetic dimension functions.

valuelist() and valueloo()

Which scenario we can use synthetic dimension functions.

Please explain me.

these functions can be used to generate a list of value for your chart's dimension.

per example : If you want to generate a list of year disreagarding your datas, you have to use valueloop(). etc...

I use these functions rarely.

I'm sorry but I haven't qvw wich uses theses functions. But what do you want to do exactly ?

This isn't much of a real world example, but it includes both valueloops and valuelists, in this case as part of a 3x3 pivot table that has a different calculation in every single cell.
