can I hide certain tables from table viewer? (tables that hold fields that only the GUI using)
for example , I want to hide 'Visiblity' Table in the view
I don't think so, but I'm not sure though. But I would say you can't do that.
I agree with Andrés! But, What you can do is fool the user resizing the Visibility table (draging it's border) to the smallest size and moving it to the same position of another table and then click on this other table.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to hide some parts of the datamodel. I don't see a benefit in doing this rather some risks of misinterpretations.
I think it's a great idea.
If I have a module with 20 tables that their fields using only to determine GUI selections, they are only causing confusion to a regular user.
Might be Qlikview can't do hide any related dimensions from Table viewer.
I don't think its possible
What exactly are "regular users" going to do in/with your data model?
Instead of using Field for visible chart or hide, you can go with "Variables". So no new fields are not required for this.,
No, this isn't possible (though I'd be happy to be proven wrong!)
One possibility for you might be to create variables instead of fields.
