As we know when QlikView hits a database it takes each and every row one by one.
Is there any way to take huge data from database(Teradata) to qlikview fast or performance could be better.
There is thousand's of MB's of data being pulled from the data base
Hi,
Use the logic of the Incremental load. This will help you only a set of the data from huge table which is newly updated or inserted.

I know its a very long thread, but very useful. You will find tips & tricks to enhance performance in between. ![]()

Incremental loads can help with with the reload performance if you need to have all the data in memory (and your hardware/infrastructure can handle it).
Direct Discovery (QlikView v11.2) or document chaining are worth considering when you need to limit the amount of data being loaded into memory.
yeah i am aware about the incremental approach.
but wanted to know if Direct Discovery could help me out
The current version of Direct Discovery has a few limitations but it may be the solution to your issue.
An overview can be found here: http://www.qlik.com/us/~/media/Files/resource-library/global-us/direct/datasheets/DS-QlikView-Direct...
I believe there are some demos on YouTube too.
Direct Discovery v2 will be released in the near future as part of QlikView v11.2 SR5:
