Text Color Expression in Report Goes Black

I have an expression in a dynamic table that is used in a report ... there is a conditional formatting in an expression that turns red depending on the value displayed. By placing the table in any report, this formatting will not appear and the text goes black color, does anyone know how to solve this? It's a bug of the last version? Thank you.

Hi,

I recently had the exact same issue when creating reports with font formatting. We've been doing some tests and we get this results:

  • It seems to happen just in 11.2 SR6 (I began creating reports for this project with QV 11.2 SR5 and we didn't have this issue.
  • It moatly happens with red color (rgb(255, 0,0), or other similar colors. To me it seems like a bug, you can't display any color that is "too light" (for example rgb(240,0,0) will also fail to render in reports. Also no matter if you put the conditional through visual cues or through text color in expression properties, the result will be the same.
  • The workaround we found is to use a darker tone of red. For example, try to put rgb(215,0,0) and it will display correctly. So you can use this or any darker tone of red.
  • We've seen that it also happens with other colors like yellow or orange

Like I said it seems like a bug to me in SR6. I've tested it in at least 3 different qlikview server installations with SR6 and the results were the same,

hope this helps,

regards

Hi Gabriel,

Maybe (I'm not sure) this can be fixed by uncheck the checkbox "Use patterns Instead of Colors: When printing" on the colors tab in the properties of your object.

Hi,

That's the problem, in the table objects i don't have the Color Tab in Properties... just in Charts Objects.

Are you copying only the expression or the entire table?

Entire dynamic table to the report...

This issue has been resolved in QlikView 11.2.12451 SR7

After updating, I confirmed that the problem no longer occurs.
