Text in a table truncated when sent to Excel

Hi,

I am loading some data from several Excel file using a script in QV.

Some the fields are text values (comments), others are numbers.

When I try to display the text fields in QV, it looks like the text values are truncated to 252 characters when I send data to Excel table.

I am using set analysis as follows :

MaxString({<Indicator_ID = {'LEAD_Highlights'}>}Data)

where LEAD_Highlights is the name of the field I wold like to display

The text is properly displayed as a yellow pop-up window when I point my mouse over the table, but when sending to Excel it is truncated to 252 characters.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Nicolas

Please check the filetype of the excel sheet. It should be .xlsx.

Thanks.

I am using the XL button and it seems that by default QV is generating a xls file not xlsx. I have browse the knowledge base, tried to write a macro to generate an xlsx file but this does not work so far. I would be interested if there is a native feature in QV to generate xlsx and avoid using macros.
