The QlikView ticket is not getting generated for the valid admin user

Hi,

I am not getting the ticket ID from my web service which uses url http://localhost/QvAJAXZfc/GetTicket.aspx  to get it from QVS. The user is in QlikView Admin group but still, the ticket is not getting generated. I have tried reinstalling the QlikView server and IE plugin but nothing worked out.

I am getting the response as below:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<string xmlns="http://localhost/TestWebService/"/>

Instead of this,
<string xmlns="http://localhost/TestWebService/">ticketID</string>

Is there anything I have to check?

The only thing of which I can think is the account you are using to make the request is not a member of the local security group QlikView Administrators on the server upon which you are running the QlikView Server service.  Hopefully that may be the issue and adding that user should get things working in that case.  I know you did mention 'valid admin user', but I wanted to be sure that admin user was a member of our QlikView Administrators local security group, as that is a requirement from what I recall.
