Timestamp on export to Excel

Good morning

I need to know how to include a timestamp for all exports to excel?

I tried to follow what has been written in another discussion, but got stuck.

Time/Date Stamp Export to Excel

My question:

Is this field TIMESTAMP in QV by default or is there a need to create this first?

I have enabled Selection Stamps in Exports = "on BIFF Exports" but no timestamp is exported.

Help is greatly appreciated.

If you just try an export to Excel/send Values to Excel with this option enabled you will see what is meant: a selection overview or a Calendar date will be included at the bottom of the exported data. Scroll down to the end of any large table to find it.

Edit: I take back my words. Apparently a TimeStamp value is included only if you create such a field and select it (or enable "Always one selected"). It can be hidden if you like. There is no standard date / time value included in the selection status. If nothing was selected at the time of export, the text "No selections" is displayed at the end of the data.

Hi Peter,

you are right. QV only adds a timestamp if a certain date is selected and hence included in the "current selection" object.

The file itself that gets created however contains a timestamp.

Thanks
