Change the portnumber in QMC by locating the following field:

QMC->System->Setup->QlikView Web Servers->select your web server->General->Location->Url

Restart the QVWS service

To make sure, check the fifth line in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer\config.xml on your server machine. It's tagged <ConfigUrl>.

I would strongy advise against changing standard QlikView Server port numbers, just for the fun of it.

Anyway, there is way indeed to change the default QMC port number and it's almost as simple as the first one.

  • Locate and open QlikViewManagementService.exe.config in C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service
  • Search for a tag called QMSFrontendWebServicePort. Change the port number attached to this tag.
  • Restart the Management Service (QMS)

Next you look in the QVWS log file for a reason (or you post the log as an attachment, NOT as text in a reply)

Look ahere: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer\Log

Hi,

1. I have change 4750 to 4751 port in QMC Qlikview Web Server.

2. After, I have restarted Qlik Services.

3. then i will check "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer\Config.xml". But Port number didn't change 4750 to 4751. So i have changed the port number 4750 to 4751 in Config file.

4. Then Again Restart the Qlik Services.

I have sent the log file.
