How i can check which version of server is installed ?
through QMC i can check the build number is 11.20.12018.0 but i want to check which service release is this e.g. SR2, SR3 etc
is this SR3?
is there would be a problem if server SR3 is installed and qv application SR6 is installed ??
i.e. is there any compatibility problem between them??
NO , SR releases are Bug fixes only....
But if bug if an bug is reported in SR3 and fixed in SR6 you may encounter the same bug when you publish the application
alkesh there is some issues as well here i am facing, like on access point scroll will not work etc. even u have idea about it.
It might be possible because of a bug.
try upgrading the upgrading the browser. it the problem persists, read the bug report for SR3 release.
Is there a way to get the Service Release version using VB script?
The following line gives the QlikView Application version - QlikView 11.20 (64 bit):
- ActiveDocument.GetApplication.QTProduct
Also there is one in the API to get the Major Release date:
- ActiveDocument.GetApplication.GetMajorVersionDate
But cannot seem to find anything in the API to get the SR version of QlikView. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Scrolling issues on IE11 is a known issue. You need to upgrade to v11.2 sr5 or higher on the server to support IE11.
Better to read the release notes of the latest version rather than sr3, as the latest release notes will list the bug fixes in the current version (sr10) and earlier releases. Then you can decide which version to upgrade to.
You can find the SR number by opening up your QMC and selecting the Help button in the top right corner of the page.
Once the Help webpage has loaded, select the Introduction navigation button in the top left corner of the page.
On the introduction page you should see your SR number on the second line of the page. "QlikView Management Console, Version 11.20 SRX"
