Too many doc CALs allocated

Hi,

I don't have QVS so i don't know Qlik administration side. We need to add a user on a .qvw but the guy in charge of QVS told that we have probably not doc CALs available (see the screenshot below with "Too many doc CALs allocated").

But on the second line, we have Doc CALs not allocated on server : 4. So does it means that 4 doc CALs are still available?

So why this message "Too many doc CALs allocated"?

Please advise

Thanks

Hello,

Please check this article from our KB which may be related to the issue you see with the "Too Many Document CALS" warning.

"Too Many Document CALs allocated When There Should Be CALs Available to Use"

https://support.qlik.com/articles/000075067

"A common cause for this is when a document is deleted while it had CALs assigned"

Please let us know if this helps, if so please like the post and mark it as a solution

Best Regards,

/Jon

I may be reading the image wrong but it looks like you're trying to go from 6 CALS allocated to this document to 11 CALS (+5) while only having 4 available.

Based on the screenshot provided, it looks like you have 4 document CALs available to apply to any document and you're trying to apply 11 document CALs, which isn't going to work.  The most you'll be able to apply here is 4, unless you de-allocate document CALs from another QVW or add additional document CALs to your license.

Thanks,
Josh
